<p>Producing foamed component made of plastic, preferably a motor vehicle component, comprises (a) providing a plastic base material, (b) mixing a carrier material, which is loaded with liquid blowing agent, in the plastic base material, (c) producing a plastic melt by plasticizing the plastic base material with the mixed carrier material in a plasticizing device, (d) introducing and foaming the polymer melt under a pressure- and/or temperature change in a mold cavity, and (e) removing the foamed component from the mold cavity. Producing foamed component made of plastic, preferably a motor vehicle component, comprises (a) providing a plastic base material, (b) mixing a carrier material, which is loaded with liquid blowing agent, in the plastic base material, (c) producing a plastic melt by plasticizing the plastic base material with the mixed carrier material in a plasticizing device, (d) introducing and foaming the polymer melt under a pressure- and/or temperature change in a mold cavity, and (e) removing the foamed component from the mold cavity, where granules made of foamed microporous polymer molded bodies and/or agglomerates are used as carrier material with liquid blowing agent. The foamed microporous polymer molded bodies and/or agglomerates are formed from at least one different thermoplastic polymer. An independent claim is also included for the carrier material with liquid blowing agent for use in the above method, where the polymer melt is foamed under pressure- and/or temperature change, preferably injection molding process, comprising a mixture of plastic base material and granules made from foamed microporous polymer molded bodies and/or agglomerates.</p> |
