The safety belt has a thigh strap with two leg loops (20) made of semi-stable plastic material. The thigh strap is connected with a lap belt. The inner surface of the leg loop is in an angular range of more than 30 degree around the central axis of the leg loop. A central line is provided between an upper surfacing edge line and a lower surfacing edge line of the leg loop. An oppositely curved surface is provided in the angular range of the leg loop. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing safety belt.
