PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficient data transfer and driving, to facilitate miniaturization of pixels and to perform display of high resolution at a low cost.SOLUTION: A sample hold section 22 samples and holds sub-frame data on a column data line D input through a switching section 21 when a pixel 20 is selected by a row selection signal applied via a row selection line W. A sample hold section 24 samples and holds sub-frame data input through a switching section 23 which is made an on-state by a common signal after sub-frame data is held by the sample hold sections 22 of all pixels and applies the sub-frame data to a pixel electrode 12 of a liquid crystal element LC. Accordingly, a voltage selection section between the sample hold section 24 and the pixel electrode 12 is not required and the sub-frame data can be transferred without a pausing period of the sub-frame data. |
