PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paste type detergent composition such as cleansing foam using a N-acylamino acid salt surfactant, and to provide technology for easily producing a paste type detergent composition from an N-acylamino acid salt surfactant.SOLUTION: The method for producing a paste type detergent composition includes: a step I of preparing an aqueous solution containing a component (A) expressed by general formula (1) (where R1 represents an alkyl group with a number of carbon atoms selected from 11, 13 and 15; Mand Mrepresent a hydrogen atom, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, organic or inorganic ammonium or basic amino acid; and Mand Mmay be the same or different from each other), wherein the component (A) is a mixture of two or more components expressed by the general formula (1) with different species of R1; and a step II of preparing a pH of the aqueous solution containing the component (A) to 3.5 to 6.5. |
