PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intravenous stand having a base support member that facilitates storage of multiple intravenous stands within close proximity to each other.SOLUTION: An intravenous stand includes an outrigger member extending between at least two segment members of a base member 12, and at least a portion of the outrigger member is raised above a portion of a plurality of segments such that during storage, a portion of the segment member of an adjacent stand 10 is capable of passing under the outrigger member to facilitate close positioning of the stands 10. The base member includes a plurality of segments configured to facilitate the close nesting or alignment of multiple portable intravenous stands 10, and thus reducing the amount of space required for storing the portable intravenous stands 10 when not in use. |
