PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press machine and its control method, capable of modifying inclination of a slide regardless of the number of the points and the position of the slide.SOLUTION: The press machine that lifts/lowers the slide through the points of the slide by a slide drive mechanism arranged at a frame upper part, is provided with a plurality of driven means which are fixed to a plurality of the portions of the slide and are driven by the lifting/lowering operation of the slide, a plurality of servo motors which impart torque in an opposite direction to the lowering of the slide to the driven means by being fixed to the frame side and connected with the respective driven means, an inclination detection means which detects the inclination of the slide, and a control device for operating and controlling the respective servo motors to impart large torque to a driven means at the lowering advancing side of the slide by a driven means at the lowering delaying side of the slide based on a detection signal from the inclination detection means during the lowering of the slide. |
