PURPOSE: An obstruction detection device of a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to improve the safe driving performance of a vehicle by transmitting the obstruction information of the vehicle to a driver. CONSTITUTION: An obstruction detection device (100) of a vehicle notifies a sensing result to a driver by sensing obstruction by using an object sensing sensor module (112) sensing the obstruction of the vehicle. The obstruction detection device senses noise with the object sensing sensor even if the obstruction is not existed. A noise sensing sensor module (114) simultaneously outputs a sensing signal wavelength including the noise. A noise elimination unit (120) eliminates the noise by calculating the sensing signal wavelength in the object sensing sensor module and the inverted sensing signal wavelength. A center processing unit (130) controls a process by determining malfunction for the noise according to the inputted output wavelength.
