PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inkjet recording medium that is glossy with no problem concerning ink absorbing ability even if calender finish is applied.SOLUTION: A method is provided for manufacturing an inkjet recording medium calender-finished after applying, to a support, a coating liquid for an ink receiving layer, containing a pigment and a binder, and drying. In the method, a main component of the pigment is vapor-phase processed silica, and the coating liquid for the ink receiving layer contains a cationic polyethylene wax emulsion with an average particle diameter of 45 nm or smaller. |
