PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable setting of appropriate waiting time till transition to an energy saving state even if a packet cannot be stored in a temporary storage buffer.SOLUTION: A data control section 113 includes a table in which a pattern of a packet is made to correspond to an operation of CPU 122, and determines to start the CPU 122 on the basis of a packet received by PHY 111 being a physical layer interface and stored in a buffer 117 and of the table in a case of an energy saving state. When the CPU 122 is to be started, a power supply managing section 112 supplies power to the CPU 122 to start the CPU 122. When the packet is not received by the PHY 111 within a prescribed time after the CPU 122 is started, the power supply to the CPU 122 is stopped. When the CPU 122 is started, it determines whether the packet stored in the buffer 117 is perfect or not. When the packet is not perfect, the prescribed time is set in accordance with a type of the packet. |
