PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car of an elevator having a connecting structure of side plates capable of connecting a plurality of the side plates for forming a sidewall of a cage without forming a clearance and a step height between the adjacent side plates.SOLUTION: A side plate for forming a sidewall includes a main surface of forming an inner wall of a cage, end surfaces formed by bending both side ends of the main surface in a U shape toward the outside of the cage, and fold-back surfaces parallel to the main surface, and the side plates are arranged so that the end surfaces mutually contact with each other. An opening is formed over the end surface and the fold-back surface of the first side plate out of adjacently arranged the first and second side plates out of the side plates. A connecting member and a pressing member are fixed to the fold-back surface of the second side plate. The connecting member has a connecting hook extendedly formed in the vertical direction with a predetermined clearance to the end surface of the second side plate, and the connecting hook connects the adjacent side plates by being inserted into the opening part. The pressing member is formed so as to abut on a reverse surface of the end surface of the first side plate and press the end surface to the end surface of the other side plate. |
