A method for displaying OSD(On Screen Display) in a display device and the display apparatus thereof are provided to set a specific window region in which a motion compensation function is not performed by corresponding to the OSD displayed on a screen, thereby preventing an OSD screen from being pulled to the moving direction of an image. A signal processing unit(200) processes an input image signal. A region information storage unit(210) stores information about a predetermined region. A motion compensation unit(230) compensates the image signal from the signal processing unit according to the motion of an image. A display module(240) displays the image signal processed from the motion compensation unit. A control unit(250) controls the motion compensation unit to compensate the image signal according to the motion of the image only in a remaining region except the predetermined region on a screen which is stored in the region information storage unit. |
