The invention relates to a method for acquiring depth information by way of a camera mounted in a vehicle (1), characterized by the following steps: navigating the vehicle (1) such that said vehicle follows a defined trajectory (2); recording at least two images of the environment by means of the camera at various, defined points (A, B) of the trajectory (2); and calculating depth information from the at least two recorded images.
