<p>A Quality of Service functionality is provided for Machine to machine device communications that allows a single IMS session to support a plurality of different data streams. In one embodiment a single IMS session is used to support a plurality of different data streams that arise from a single application type, while in another embodiment, a single IMS session is used to support a plurality of different data streams across a plurality of different devices and applications. Through the use of a single IMS session, signaling is reduced and QoS can be offered without impacting a large number of nodes. An IMS User Agent is deployed to aid in providing this functionality.</p> |
