AN MICROORGANISM CULTURE MEDIA FOR PRODUCTION OF HYALURONIC ACID

PURPOSE: A culture medium for microorganisms which produce hyaluronic acid is provided to be used in foods or pharmaceutical products with economic price by preventing infection of mammal-derived diseases such as bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) or transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE). CONSTITUTION: A medium for producing hyaluronic acid using microorganisms contains 50-100 g/L of a carbon source, 0.1-5 g/L of dipotassium phosphate (K_2HPO_4), 0.1-1 g/L of magnesium sulfate (MgSO_4), 1.0-10.0 g/L of glutamic acid, and 1.0-10.0 g/L of sodium chloride (NaCl). The medium also contains 15-25 g/L of a yeast extract and 5-10 g/L of soypepton as nitrogen sources. The carbon source is glucose. The glutamic acid is sodium glutamate.
