PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which in a conventional apparatuses, an operator is easily guided to erroneous operation and an operation for returning to a normal condition after the erroneous operation by an operator is complicated.SOLUTION: An article management apparatus updates the contents of an article database on the basis of transmitted information including the content of a code read from a communication terminal that has read the code of a communication address displayed on an article to be managed. The communication address includes article IDs which are individually issued for their corresponding articles to be managed. Using the article IDs among pieces of transmitted information and status information of the corresponding article IDs in the article database 4, one or more update contents for the article database are selected and presented, and a selected update process is performed. |
