PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a gas appliance monitoring system to easily and properly change time for permitting continuous use thereof without depending on a manual operation, securely prevent incorrect blocking of gas supply to a gas appliance which is liable to occur at the turn of the season, and improve safety when using the gas.SOLUTION: The gas appliance monitoring system 1 for monitoring the usage state of a gas appliance at a downstream side of a gas meter includes a gas flow detection means 2 that detects a gas flow at the downstream side of the gas meter, a season determination means 3 that determines whether or not the season is changed based on a change of the gas flow detected by the gas flow detection means 2, a continuous time storage means 4 in which time for permitting continuous use set in response to each of the gas appliances is stored, and a duration changing means 5 that changes time for permitting continuous use set in response to each of the gas appliances when the season determination means 3 determines that the season is changed.
