PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil absorbing sheet and an oil absorbing composite sheet which have heat resistance and flame retardancy, are thin and lightweight, cause little change in the shape under a high temperature atmosphere, and have superior oil-absorbing performance.SOLUTION: An oil absorbing sheet comprises a nonwoven fabric composed of continuous fibers. The continuous fiber satisfies (a) and (b), and the nonwoven fabric satisfies (c), (d) and (e). (a) A ratio of the number of continuous fibers with a fiber diameter of 0.1 μm or more and less than 5 μm to the number of continuous fibers B with a fiber diameter of 5 μm or more and 100 μm or less on a surface of the nonwoven fabric is 99 to 50:1 to 50; (b) The continuous fiber constituting the nonwoven fabric has a melting point or a decomposition temperature of 300°C or higher; (c) The nonwoven fabric has an average apparent density of 0.04-1.0 g/cm; (d) The nonwoven fabric has a porosity of 30-97%; and (e) The nonwoven fabric has a dry heat shrinkage at 200°C of 2% or less. |
