PURPOSE: A camera, a traffic signal displaying device using an audio-video-navigation (AVN) system and a method thereof are provided to help a driver recognize a change of a traffic signal through sound without looking at the traffic signal, thereby improving convenience of the driver. CONSTITUTION: An input unit (210) obtains speed information and location information of a vehicle. A camera unit (230) includes a camera and a video analyzer. The camera photographs the vehicle around an intersection corresponding to the speed and location of the vehicle. The video analyzer extracts an image of a traffic signal in an image photographed by the camera and transmits signal information of the traffic signal obtained by recognizing the color of the traffic signal which is turned off to an AVN system (220). The AVN system outputs the signal information of the traffic signal or the sound information corresponding to the traffic signal.
