PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that treatment of gastrointestinal disease such as IBD and IBS using probiotics in the prior art is proven not to be sufficiently beneficial, and therefore it is necessary to improve the treatment in order to make a serious supplement or even an alternative to traditional treatment with chemical substances.SOLUTION: There is provided a composition for treating a human suffering from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) characterized by chronic or recurrent diarrhea, and the composition comprises (a) fermented cereal and (b) non-pathogenic microorganisms. |
