PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device that can accurately detect a rotation angle of an operation grip, can improve the operation feeling, and can surely operate to make a ship stop, advance, and retreat.SOLUTION: An operating device 1 is provided with: an operation grip G formed at the front end of a steering wheel installed in an outboard motor and being rotatively operable while being held by a driver; and a detection sensor 6 for contactlessly detecting a rotation angle of the operation grip G, and generating a detection signal corresponding to the rotation angle, and transmitting the detection signal obtained by the detection sensor 6 to the outboard motor side and controls the driving speed of the outboard motor. This operating device is provided with a moderation giving member 8 that provides moderation when the operation grip G performs turn operation from the neutral position for one direction or the other side. |
