PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens that is a bright lens, has a short entire length of an optical system, and a satisfactory aberration performance, and to provide an imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: In the zoom lens in which, to vary power, a plurality of lens groups are moved in the direction of an optical axis, a lens group closest to an object side has positive refractive power. The lens group closest to the object side is moved to vary power. The following conditional expression (1) is satisfied: (1) FNO(W)<1.64, in which FNO(W) is an F number for the zoom lens at a wide angle end. |
