PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain superior lubricity, even when an internal combustion engine is operated under severe environments.SOLUTION: An under layer 24 containing at least a resin material is provided on a sliding contact surface of a piston skirt. A solid lubrication part 26 made of silver (Ag), silver alloy, copper (Cu), or the copper alloy and having porosity of 2% or less in a line-like shape or a point-like shape is further provided on the under layer 24. An erosion layer 28 as an intermixing layer in which mutual materials are mixed intervenes between the under layer 24 and the solid lubrication part 26. The thickness (distance T between straight line L1, L2) of the erosion layer 28 is ≥10 nm. |
