The invention relates to a power supply device (1) for a ship (86), in particular a ferry or freight ship, that is stationed on a boat mooring of a harbour. The power supply device (1) comprises a land-based, horizontally displaceable carriage (16), on which a power supply line (24) with a plug (26) is arranged for supplying the ship (86) with electrical energy. The power supply line (24) can be electrically connected to a land-based power supply network (92).
