SKIN LIGHTENING COMPOSITIONS

Compositions and methods for lightening mammalian skin are described herein. In a first aspect, the disclosure may provide a composition comprising: a) a compound of formula I: (structure); and, b) at least one of an antioxidant, a glycol and a solvent; wherein the composition comprises less than 100 ppm 02, and wherein the composition exhibits a change in L* value of less than about 10.0 when stored at ambient temperature and pressure for a period of time, wherein the period of time is at least about 2 days.
