PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions comprising nanoparticle aripiprazole, or salts thereof or derivatives thereof, having improved bioavailability, faster rates of absorption and a faster onset of therapeutic effect and to provide the methods.SOLUTION: The compositions of the stable nanoparticle aripiprazole, or salts thereof of derivatives thereof include: (a) aripiprazole particles whose average effective particle sizes of less than about 2,000 nm; (b) at least one kind of surface stabilizers. Dosage forms thereof are also provided.
