PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nutritional composition useful for nutritional management and nutritional therapy of a patient suffering from a liver disease.SOLUTION: The nutritional composition including: as essential components, a whey protein hydrolyzate; lecithin, and oils and fats with a high content of oleic acid which have lipid metabolism-improving actions; and palatinose having insulin-sparing effects suppresses the onset of galactosamine hepatopathy. Furthermore, the whey protein hydrolyzate included in the nutritional composition suppresses the production of endotoxin-induced TNF-α and interleukin 6 (IL-6) in a macrophage. |
