PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of stably fixing an image without causing a crease on an envelope.SOLUTION: A fixing device 22 includes a fixing pressure switching mechanism in which an endless fixing belt 27 is wound between a pressure roller 25 and a tension roller 26, the pressure roller 25 is abutted against a heating roller 24 via the fixing belt 27, and a fixing mode is switched between a high pressure mode where a fixing pressure is set high and a low pressure mode where the fixing pressure is set low. In the fixing mode, the fixing device 22 sets the fixing pressure to a lower pressure caused only by tension that acts on the fixing belt 27, and holds a sheet between the fixing belt 27 and the heating roller 24 only by the tension of the fixing belt 27 to fix a toner image held on the sheet. Further, the fixing device includes an entrance guide switching mechanism that switches an angle of an entrance guide 30 interlocked with the fixing pressure switching operation by the fixing pressure switching mechanism, the entrance guide 30 is arranged upstream side in a sheet conveyance direction of a fixing nip N formed by the heating roller 24 and the pressure roller 25. |
