The drive (10) has a fan unit for cooling a drive unit (12) by using cool air. A sealing housing (20) partially receives the drive unit and provides an air-tight seal against circumference. An air chamber (50) is formed on the sealing housing, and connects an air outlet opening (18b) with an air inlet opening (18a) such that the cooling air flows back through the air chamber from the air outlet opening to the air inlet opening. The fan unit includes a fan wheel (14) that is rotatably connected with a drive shaft (16) to be driven by the drive unit. An independent claim is also included for a sealing housing for an airtight seal of an air-cooled drive unit of an electric drive.
