摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viewing angle compensation film laminate capable of enormously improving a contrast ratio in a diagonal direction in an IPS-LCD device.SOLUTION: The IPS-LCD device includes a liquid crystal panel including: an upper substrate; a lower substrate; and liquid crystal cells inserted between the upper and lower substrates and filled with liquid crystals having a positive dielectric anisotropy. The IPS-LCD also includes a first polarizing plate and a second polarizing plate disposed on both sides of the liquid crystal panel, respectively. The liquid crystals in the liquid crystal cells have optical axes parallel to the polarizing plates (in-plane). The first and second polarizing plates have absorption axes perpendicular to each other. The IPS-LCD device further includes a viewing angle compensation film laminate interposed between the liquid crystal panel and the second polarizing plate and comprising: a first film with an in-plan optical axis; and a second film having an optical axis in a thickness direction, where the optical axis in the thickness direction is inclined at a specific angle in an in-plane direction.
