PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a train operation control apparatus which determines whether a train can approach a track or not while securing safety of the train and its trouble-free operation.SOLUTION: A train operation control apparatus includes: an effective length database 4 which stores an effective length of each track in a station, at least one of a start point and an end point of the each track being connected to a turnout point; a train position information acquisition means 1 for acquiring position information on an already-arrived train which has already existed within the track as train position information; a remaining effective length calculation means 3 for calculating a length of unoccupied region of the each track as a remaining effective length from the effective length of the track and the train position information; a remaining effective length storage means 5 for storing the remaining effective lengths for the each track; and an approach permission determination means 6 for determining whether a new train can approach the track based on comparison of the remaining effective length of the track where the new train is scheduled to approach with a train length of the new train. |
