摘要 <p>Provided are an optical element, an optical device, an image display device and a method for improving the excited light absorption rate, capable of improving the absorption efficiency of excited light. This optical element (10A) has a light emitting layer, and a reflective layer (101A). The light emitting layer has a layer (103A) comprising a light emitting body, and the light emitting layer and the reflective layer (101A) are layered. The light emitting layer has a first reflective surface (107A) which is the surface of the side on which the reflective layer (101A) is not layered, and a second reflective surface (106A) which is the interface between the light emitting layer and the reflective layer (101A), and excited light reflected by the first reflective surface (107A) and excited light reflected by the second reflective surface (106A) are caused to interfere.</p>
