PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform maintenance care of recording heads of a line system even when a recording medium exists at a position where it is opposed to the recording heads. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device includes: a platen for supporting the recording medium; a conveying device for conveying the recording medium so as to allow it to pass on the platen; a plurality of recording heads of the line system extending in a direction orthogonal to the conveying direction of the recording medium in order to eject ink to the recording medium supported on the platen; a carriage for supporting the plurality of recording heads so that the ejecting surfaces of the recording heads may be opposed to the platen; and an ink supply part connected to one end of each of the plurality of recording heads and supplying the ink to each of the recording heads. The plurality of recording heads turn relative to the carriage with one end side of the recording head as center, and retreat to form predetermined space on the platen.
