A method is provided of obtaining at a first wireless telecommunications base station information of a neighbouring wireless telecommunications base station. The method comprises the following steps. The first base station receives a measurement report from a user terminal. The first base station determines from the measurement report that the user terminal has received a better signal from the neighbouring base station than from the first base station and instructs the user terminal to connect to the neighbouring base station. The first base station receives information of the neighbouring base station. The first base station stores the information of the neighbouring base station.
