[Problem] To provide a palm-based oil inhibiting discoloration caused by heating, and a method for producing the same. [Solution] This palm-based oil has an iodine value of at least 58 and a gamma-tocotrienol content of no more than 78 ppm. This oil is obtainable, for example, through the incorporation of short path distillation processing into a purification step for palm-based oil. |
