A method of forming a microwave applicator probe includes the steps of providing an elongate tube (18), deforming the tube (18) perpendicular to its longitudinal axis, inserting an elongate flow dividing member (19) and a transmission line (17) into the tube (18), and releasing the tube (18) to allow the tube (180) to recover its shape to press the flow dividing member (19) against the transmission line (17) in the tube (18). The assembled applicator probe has passages or lumens (20, 21) for cooling fluid to pass along with one passage providing a flow of cooling fluid and the other passage a return. |
