METHOD FOR PREPARING IMMATURE OR INSUFFICIENTLY MATURE CERVIX UTERI FOR LABOR

A method for preparing immature or insufficiently mature cervix uteri for the labor comprises the mechanical irritation with Foley catheter. The balloon is inflated to the diagnosed size of cervix uteri and kept in cervical canal until its displacement to the vagina or besides the borders of vagina. Then the catheter is removed, the enema is provided followed by amniotomy and labor stimulation with oxytocin.
