PURPOSE: A power measuring device and a power consumption saving method using the same are provided to reduce the amount of additional power consumption which is consumed with a power measuring sensor by operating the power measuring sensor only in the operation state of a power consumption instrument. CONSTITUTION: A power sensor(220) senses the power which is consumed in a power load device. If the a power load device consumes the power, a power supplying unit(260) produces and supplies the power. If the power is supplied from the power supplying unit, a signal processing unit(240) converts the power which is sensed in the power sensor into power measuring information. The power supplying unit supplies the power into the signal processing unit only when consuming the power in the power load device based on a sensing signal from the power sensor. |
