The invention relates to a chassis for an agricultural soil cultivation machine comprising several sets of tyres that are arranged in a row, forming a tyre packer in the form of a sub-divided roller, the height of at least one central set of tyres that is situated between two lateral sets of chassis tyres being adjustable in relation to the latter. The aim of the invention is to improve said chassis in terms of the adjustment between the roller position and the transport position. To achieve this, at least one motor-driven adjustment device (22) is allocated to the central set or sets of tyres, said device raising the central set or sets of tyres from the lower roller position into an upper transport position and lowering said set or sets of tyres into the lower roller position.
