The system has radio access points that are grouped in clusters under the authority of cluster protocol units. A wireless service siding network provided between the access points and trains utilize time sharing multiplexed bidirectional or unidirectional links for a same isofrequency channel or several isofrequency channels during extension of services or redundancy of a critical service. Sections between the points or interstations are covered such that each protocol unit receives and anticipates the movement of trains in the adjacent sections or interstations.
