PURPOSE: A lower shield of a crucible for growing a sapphire ingot is provided to stably maintain the gap between circular heat insulation plates by arranging spacers between the circular heat insulation plates. CONSTITUTION: A circular heat insulation plate (110) has through holes (111). The circular heat insulation plate is overlapped with the lower part of a crucible for growing a sapphire ingot. A spacer (120) is formed between the through holes of the circular heat insulation plate. A connection member (130) passes through the through hole of the circular heat insulation plate and the through hole of the spacer. The connection member fixes the circular heat insulation plate.
