PURPOSE: An automated teller machine (ATM) equipped with an EPP integrated pin pad having a hall sensor and a method for detecting the detachment of the EPP integrated pin pad are provided to prevent the hacking of password and card number by detecting and transferring the variation of a magnetic field to a CPU of an EPP module. CONSTITUTION: An EPP integrated pin pad (100) having a hall sensor (125) comprises a pin pad (110) and an EPP module (120). The EPP module comprises a key scan part (121), a memory part (122), a battery (123), the hall sensor, and a CPU (124). The key scan part scans key value inputted by the pin pad. The memory part stores financial information including account information. The battery supplies power to the EPP module. The hall sensor is arranged inside the EPP module to detect the variation of a magnetic field. The CPU deletes all the data stored in the memory part when the hall sensor detects the separation of the EPP integrated pin pad from an automated teller machine.
