<p>A rotationally symmetric table can be manually increased in area by 67% in typically less than 15 seconds, wherein the surface of the table remains flat in both a first fully closed position and a second fully extended position. The table comprises a number of trapezoidal flaps connected hingedly to a square tabletop, where the hinges are capable of movement between 0 and 180 degrees. As the table top is rotated a centre section of the square tabletop is raised and/or lowered on a system of ramps/cams, so that the central section remains in the same plane as the flaps and flush with the remainder of the square tabletop.</p> |
