<p>A manually installed fastener (10) includes a fastener body (12) having parallel first and second plates (14, 16), the second plate (16) having an aperture (26). A bend member (18) integrally joins the first and second plates (14, 16). The bend member (18) has an outer deflectable leg (20) integrally connected to the first plate (14) and an inner deflectable leg (22) integrally connected to the second plate (16). A first barb (28) is integrally connected to the first plate (14) and extends through the aperture (26) of the second plate (16). A second barb (30) is integrally connected to the second plate (16) and is oppositely oriented with respect to the first barb (28). The second barb (30) and the second plate (16) are elastically displaced with respect to the first barb (28) and the first plate (14) to change a clearance diameter between the first and second barbs (28,30).</p> |
