PURPOSE: A direct communication method and an apparatus thereof in a wireless communication system are provided to perform local area communication through low power. CONSTITUTION: A receiving module (1160) receives a direct communication request message, which requests direct communication with a second terminal, from a first terminal which does not pass through a base station. A processor (1120) allocates a resource which is used for direct communication. A transport module (1140) transmits information about resource allocation to the first terminal and the second terminal.
