EPOXY COATING COMPOSITION FOR WEATHER AREA OF SHIP

PURPOSE: Epoxy paint composition is provided to maintain an exterior of a coated film surface and performance by minimizing chalking occurrence and therefore to improve weather resistance and workability in case of being used in a weather part of a ship. CONSTITUTION: Epoxy paint composition for a weather part of a ship uses by mixing main material and curing agent with the weight ratio of 100:60 - 100:70. The main material includes bisphenol-A epoxy resin and the curing agent includes acrylic resin with glass transition temperature (Tg) of 10-20 °C. The acrylic acid resin consists of resins polymerized with more than two monomers selected from a group consisting of dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate, ethyl hexyl acrylate, acrylic acid and styrene monomer.
