<p>The padlock comprises a body 26 and a shackle 20 with a long leg 21 and a short leg 22 and includes a combination mechanism comprising at least one clutch 28 engaged with at least one rotatable dial 55 mounted around the long leg. A locking mechanism comprising a cam 127 and a cylinder 125, the cam having an off-centred hole 145 which is in an open configuration when aligned with the short leg and in blocking configuration when out of alignment, allows the rotatable dial to be disengaged from the clutch and the combination to be reset. The lock body may include at least one cut-out portion to fit a rotatable dial which may have a plurality of faces. The cylinder and the cam may be comprised of a single piece construction thus forming a locking cylinder. The tool may be in the form of a correct-cut key to operate the locking cylinder.</p> |
