A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FEMN BY USING MANGANESE OXIDES AND CARBON REDUCER

PURPOSE: A method for producing high carbon ferromanganese from manganese oxide is provided to add low cost reductant besides coke to manganese oxide so as to recover active ingredient which is included in the manganese oxide to alloy metal, thereby producing a composite pellet. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing high carbon ferromanganese from manganese oxide comprises the following steps of: dry-mixing of 69 to 76 wt% of manganese oxide and 24 to 31 wt% of the reductant of bituminous coal or anthracite coal and then producing a mixture; pressuring and forming the mixture and then forming the mixture into a composite pellet; heating the composite pellet up to 1450°for 30 to 90 minutes and reducting the manganese oxide; and naturally cooling the reducted composite pellet.
