PURPOSE: A dehydration control method of a washing machine is provided to include a revolutions per minute (RPM) deceleration section in a main dehydration section in which a rotary speed of a drum is maintained for predetermined time at a maximum setting speed, thereby easily draining foam and water. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer performs preparatory dehydration by being controlled by a drum driving unit. After the preparatory dehydration is finished, the microcomputer accelerates a rotary speed of the drum up to a maximum setting speed by being controlled by the drum driving unit, maintains the maximum setting speed for predetermined time and performs main dehydration. A deceleration section for reducing the rotary speed of the drum is included in sections for maintaining the maximum setting speed for predetermined time while the main dehydration is performed.
