PURPOSE: A volatile fraction from seeds of soybean(Glycine max(L.) Merr.) and a composition comprising the same fraction are provided, which soybean seed volatile fraction is useful for treatment of skin damage, treatment of skin disorder, enhancement of cell regeneration, and promotion of hair growth, and the composition comprising the volatile fraction is useful in medicine composition, cosmetic composition or skin cleansing composition. CONSTITUTION: The volatile fraction from seeds of soybean(Glycine max(L.) Merr.) is prepared by (a) dipping the seeds of soybean(Glycine max(L.) Merr.) in a solution containing 15 wt.% or less of alcohol or water to provide a crude extract of soybean(Glycine max(L.) Merr.) seeds, and (b) volatilizing the crude extract of seeds of soybean(Glycine max(L.) Merr.) at the pressure of 1 atmosphere or less and 110 deg. C, wherein the volatile fraction from seeds of soybean(Glycine max(L.) Merr.) has peaks at the retention time of 2.910, 5.190, 13.190 and 50.815 minutes, analyzed by HPLC using Waters Sphersorb(TM)-ODS2 column; the volatile fraction is collected in liquid phase by cooling the vapor; and the volatile fraction has the alcohol concentration of 5 wt.% or less. |
