<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide slurry which can fix a large amount of an active material having a small functional impediment on an electrode base body and has large initial electric capacity and hardly peels off the active material from the electrode base body after repeating charge and discharge operations and is useful for manufacturing an electrode of a lithium ion secondary battery in order to maintain suitable electric capacity. <P>SOLUTION: In the slurry for an electrode of the lithium ion secondary battery including a binder composition wherein polymer particles are dispersed in an organic dispersion medium and active material particles, the polymer particles are made from ethylene unsaturated carboxylic acid ester based monomer serving as elastomer when it is made homopolymer, and a copolymer with other ethylene unsaturated monomers (except conjugated diene based monomer). A ratio (weight ratio) between the monomer serving as elastomer when it is made a homopolymer and the other ethylene unsaturated monomer is 1:0 to 1:5, a ratio between an average particle diameter of the polymer particles and an average particle diameter of the active material particles is a range of 1/500 to 1/5, and gel content of the polymer is 50 wt.% or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
